HALLOWEEN SEASON IS HERE!

There’s something about this time of year that feels almost magical. In fact, it might be the greatest stretch of the entire year, and it’s not even close. If there’s a heaven, I’m pretty sure it’s just a replay of September and October on a loop.

The weather is simply unbeatable. Warm during the day but by the time the sun sets, there’s that perfect coolness in the air that just feels right. It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to be outside, whether you’re soaking up the last rays of summer or embracing the early signs of fall.

And then there’s football. The return of the season means Sundays filled with wings (Not that I ever needed an excuse to eat wings)

But what really makes this time of year special is the buildup to Halloween. TV stations start rolling out horror movies and halloween specials nearly every day (even though I don’t have cable and I watch Horror movies all year). There is something special being able to watch Horror movies anytime!

This leads us to today’s blog post—and a new tradition I’m kicking off. Over the next eight weeks, I’ll be ranking the best Halloween/Horror movies. I’ll be watching and evaluating each one based on four key categories: Story, Monsters/Villains, Actors/Characters & My totally unbiased opinion . Each category will be scored on a scale of 0-10, and we’ll tally up those scores to get an overall ranking.

Come Halloween, we’ll revisit all the films and reveal the final list with the scores. It’s going to be a spooky, fun-filled ride—so stay tuned! First Movie up MONSTER SQUAD! Friday!
