PSA: JSA & PSA STINKS! WARNINGS!

At San Diego, the biggest news coming out of the week—well, besides Robert Downey Jr. being cast as Doom and Galactus being the villain in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie—was the announcements from PSA and CGC that swept the Gold and Silver Pavilion!

PSA Enters Comic Book Grading

PSA, the world's biggest card grading company, announced they will start grading comic books. However, I must say, their case design... BLOWS! The regular modern comic slab was the size of a CGC Magazine case and must have weighed at least 5 pounds. If PSA wants to compete with CGC, they need to fix the case before we even start talking about their grading. By the way, I was so shocked at the size, I didn’t even notice the grading!

CGC and JSA Partnership

While we're on the topic of grading companies, CGC announced a few weeks back that they will start verifying signatures in partnership with JSA. I think that's a great call. We will finally stop getting green labels for non-witnessed signatures. However, this news does not come without controversy.News around the hall quickly spread that someone had used CGC for some raw Golden Age Walt Disney Comics & Stories (I know, I know, why are you grading Duck books?). Anyway, all the books had a small pencil name on the cover from the original kid who owned them. When CGC saw this, they upgraded the order to JSA verification. When the person grading tried to reach out, all CGC had for them was, "Sorry, nothing we can do."

So, today's PSA, kids: DON'T USE PSA, and CGC STINKS!

BUT ITS FRIDAY & WE MADE IT ANOTHER WEEK SO HERE IS THE COVER FOR DETECTIVE COMICS #1!!
