3 MEN IN A BASEMENT COMIC SWAP

The boys were busy this weekend, hitting a couple of local shows and picking up some new books to add to the growing RoboPicto Inventory. I went down to the 3 men in a basement show in Newington, CT. Otto, Roger, & Dave did a hell of a job setting up and getting some awesome dealers & collectors in the room. We were turned onto the show by our good friend John “BigdaddysComics” Ross who is one of the sponsors of the show. With great giveaways every 45 minutes of the show, they do it differently down in the basement. With objectives like first person to come up and show a slab that you picked up at the show or first one to show Otto a Dave Stevens cover, it was a unique way of doing a giveaway rather than just picking names out of a hat. It was a friendly and exciting Environment with some cool books to boot. A fun speakeasy in the back in case you were able to come with a friend and could get a ride home! This show is a can’t miss and we will be sure to mark it on the schedule for next year.

Some of the book highlights include a tough to find Future Comics #3 from August 1940, David McKay Publishing. This short lived title ran for 4 issues and featured some great Phantom & Lone Ranger comics, they all feature everyone’s favorite comic book character “Rebo” covers or as we know him as “Rubber Chicken Man”. Other pickups include a couple of Western Books, Western Outlaws #17 & Western Adventures #6, Young Romance #26 from Prize & Love Adventures #10 from Atlas. Check out all the new books over on the site, we will be adding books every Wednesday and Friday! Come back tomorrow to hear about the Thrilling Tales of Adam heading out to Western Ma for the Greenfield Show.
