THE KOLCHAK PAPERS!
Kolchak: The Night Stalker – A Supernatural Pioneer
1974 was a great year—or so I’m told, as it was nearly two decades before my time. That said, it was the year that Kolchak: The Night Stalker debuted, a TV series that maybe the best TV series of all time and that would go on to inspire countless supernatural shows in the years to come.
Kolchak began as an unpublished novel by Jeff Rice. However, the character found his way to the screen as the star of a TV movie. The success of the first film was so immense that Darren McGavin was brought back for a sequel. Eventually, Kolchak earned his own TV series, cementing his legacy as the intrepid reporter who fearlessly faced the supernatural and unexplained.
If you’re a fan of this classic show, we’ve got something special for you. Starting this Saturday, the Picto Daily Digest will feature The Kolchak Papers, written by Andy Fish!
